Forever Crushes

Okey, so this post is the most random thing ever but while I was at the gym I made a mental list of the many (MANY) crushes I´ve had on TV show characters. Boys, girls, couples, I´ve loved them all...
Let me introduce you to some of my very favorite characters (that I also happen to think are extremely hot).

Nathan Scott (One Tree Hill)
What can I say about this young boy who turned out to be an amazing man and father? He started out as a bad, disrespectful, irresponsible boy and  he then made me fall in love with the way he protected his friends, wife and children. I will always hope to find a Nathan in my life.

Iván Noiret (El Internado-The Boarding School)
You may not know who this character is, well, following the line of Nathan Scott, Iván started up as a tough adolescent, again, "a bad boy". But after going through scary and life-threatening situations with his friends and after falling in love with a girl, he proves to be very protective and caring with the ones he loves. There are hundreds of similarities between him and Nathan but the TV shows are completely different. Oh, girls, he is so cute...

Alex Karev (Grey´s Anatomy)
I know, I obviously have something for rude, stone-heart characters that turn into amazing and caring humans.

Damon Salvatore (The Vampire Diaries)
Major difference with this man. Bad boy thing is still there, yes, but I HATED Damon at first, I was repelled by how bad he was. And then he opened his heart and all I could do was let myself drown in his ocean-blue eyes...sigh.

Brooke Davis (One Three Hill)
Here, ladies and gentleman, is the definition of amazing character.  Brooke Penelope Davis was a mess when the show started and I even have to admit that I didn´t like her at all at that time. Soon this crazy, "I´m-always-fine", party girl became a strong woman who was there for anyone who needed her. She only wanted to love and to be loved, she acknowledged her mistakes, she made herself better, she fell and got up hundreds of times, she laughed, she cried, she worked hard and she finally got what she had always wanted: a family. B. Davis, you are such an inspiration.

Haley James Scott (One Tree Hill)
Yes, I have a thing with One Tree Hill girls. Haley was completely different from Brooke at the beginning of the show: she was the tutor girl, the one who won´t have sex until she got married, the one whose kindness was overwhelming. I simply love Haley.

Anyways, these are some of the characters that I have enjoyed the most, however, in the case of male characters, what made me love them the most is the way they love their girls. So here are some of my favorite in or out of the screen couples.

Nathan and Haley- One Tree Hill- . Always and forever. I think that explains it all.

Iván and Julia - El Internado- I just don´t know why these two are not together in real life, their chemistry is amazing.

Goofy, sweet and relaxed, Oriana Sabatini and Julián Serrano are one of the cutest couples ever (and I´m a biiit obsessed with their cuteness). They played Azul and Franco in the Argentinian TV show "Aliados". They are only 18(she) and 21(he) years old and they were 16/17 and 19/20 while in the show. Good news? They are together in real life too!!♥

Who is your favorite character? Let me know in the comments! :)
Have a nice day!

Immortalized Memories

Call it Blogger or Youtube, I have at least three accounts on each. I´ve tried blogging so many times during the last six years but I always ended up feeling like nobody cared about my life or that I wasn´t good at this. I´ve also tried Youtube to share my hobbies with other people but the perfect image quality of some (most) youtubers made me feel like a joke. Well, my camera is not THAT bad, but it is not amazing either.

I love doing crafts so I really enjoyed making some tutorials, editing the footage and uploading those videos to Youtube. But soon I had to go back to school and, therefore, I had less time to film, edit and upload so days passed by, then weeks, and soon it will be a year since I uploaded my last video. I also enjoy recording friends/family moments so I uploaded some vlogs there too but, let´s be honest, it is pretty weird to go around talking to a camera in front of other people, imagine doing it while speaking in a different language than the one that is spoken in your country!

That was my second attempt at becoming a youtuber, the first time was back in 2009 when I was only seventeen and I had just finished high school. I ended up deleting all the videos I had uploaded to that channel because I felt a bit silly (with time I realized that what happened there was that I was terrified of any of my ex-classmates or friends finding out about my channel.)

The fate of both channels was the same, but now I´m so glad  I made those videos, I´m happy to have my seventeen-year-old self, my twenty-year-old self and my present self recorded. I enjoy listening to what my problems were in high school, what I feared, what made me happy and what music and tv shows I watched back then. It´s a way of having a permanent reminder of who you were and who you wanted to be and for me it is also a way of  seeing if I have achieved my goals, if I´m, somehow, making my teenage self feel proud of me.

Blogger, I have to say, was my most comfortable way of expressing myself: through words. Writing has always been a big part of my life and it is so easy for me to "spit" everything that is in my head in a sheet of paper that I, literally, write down every-single-thing I ever think of. However, as it is so easy for me to write it all, sometimes I feel I expose myself too much when writing and I have the urge of deleting it all and just keep it in my computer or in a notebook, in a safe place where nobody will ever be able to judge me or my feelings.

Youtube and Blogger definitely gave me a reason to "immortalize" my feelings, my experiences and my memories through time and that´s why I´m back here, for my thirty-year old to have a little reminder of who she exactly was.

Just in case you are curious about my youtube channel (the only one who has some of its original videos), here it is: Holifun

I vlog now too, but in spanish, so all my family can participate in the videos :)

I would really like to interact with you! Do you have a Youtube account or a Blogger account? Why did you open such account/s?

Thanks for reading (If you read it all you probably deserve an award)

Week favs October 4th

Song of the week

Wake me up – Avicii

Well, this is the song I have been listening to on replay the whole week. I really like the lyrics and the music makes me feel happy and full of energy.

Series / Tv show / Movie of the week

Grey´s Anatomy – 1x10

Oh My God!! I feel like I´ve been waiting  for this season for ages! I have been watching Grey´s Anatomy for more than 5 years now and it is still one of my favorite shows.

Quote of the week

“Try to learn to breathe deeply, really to taste food when you eat, and when you sleep, really to sleep. Try as much as possible to be wholly alive with all your might, and when you laugh, laugh like hell. And when you get angry get good and angry. Try to be alive. You will be dead soon enough” Ernest Hemingway

This quote always makes me smile and it motivates me to enjoy more each day.

Moment of the week

I went to a book fair with one of my friends on Wednesday and laughing with her for a couple of hours gave me energy to finish the week. Plus, I love going to the fair without anything planned and finding awesome books that if I hadn´t been searching through the shelves, I would have never found.

And then this is not a “moment” but I laughed a lot when it happened!
Mom -she is a cake decorator, an amazing cake decorator, by the way- : Gabi, I have to make those “onions”.
Gabi: What?
Mom: Those yellow things that sing banana!
Gabi already laughing: ooh, Minions?!?

Look how cute her "Onions" look!!!

And this is my cold porcelain clay version of a Minion. Yes, he is bald, but what is the world without diversity!? ;)

How was your week?

I hope you have a wonderful Friday!

When 24 hours are not enough

My school year is coming to an end and it´s now when I remember all the things I need to get done and I literally cry: I have projects to hand in, exams to study for, classes to prepare for my students and I feel like doing a thousand other things that I don´t have time for.

I love drawing, painting, doing crafts and sewing and I like to think about what I want to do, which materials I want to use and how am I going to do it, and that takes a lot of time. So, after thinking about all those things, I always realize that I don´t have enough time to actually do what I have been planning to do and I get frustrated.

Has this ever happened to you? How do you manage to study/work (or both) and do the things you like without feeling overwhelmed by the lack of time?

5 Winter Favorites

Winter is gone here in Argentina so I wanted to share with you five things that I have been loving for the last couple of months.

1) St. Ives body lotion
We all know that skin gets extremely dry during winter so after trying several body lotions I finally found a not-so-expensive brand that I really like.

2) Elvive Kera-Liso: Hair treatment and conditioner
I have curly hair and even when these products are designed for straight hair they have kept my hair soft, shiny and almost without frizz throughout the winter.

3) Combat boots
Since they are very comfortable and they go with almost any outfit these have been my go-to autumn/winter foot wear.

4) Fuzzy socks
Well, there is not much to explain…what is winter without cute fuzzy socks?!

5) Tea and Books

I find these things to be particularly special during winter: there is not a better feeling for me than the one I feel when I lay in my bed with a hot cup of tea and a book on a cold/rainy day.
(The books in the picture above are: Las hijas del frío (The Stonecutter) by Camilla Läckberg, El mundo amarillo (The Yellow World) by Albert Espinosa, Matched by Ally Condie, and The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.)

Tell me what your winter favorites are!

Have a nice day!
